MacArthur Boulevard continues to play a vital role in the City of Springfield’s economic development and transportation network.  Therefore, the Illinois Department of Transportation is moving forward with the preliminary planning phases to improve this thoroughfare from Wabash/Stanford Avenue to South Grand Avenue.
